Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how The Letting Desk Ltd (“The Letting Desk”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and within our HMO property management platform for UK landlords and letting agents.

We handle personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For more on how we use your data, see our Privacy Policy.

These policies are provided for transparency and are being finalised with professional review. They do not yet constitute legal advice. For questions, contact support@thelettingdesk.com.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your preferences, and give us insight into how the Service is used. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, and refer to all of these as “cookies” in this policy.

2. The cookies we use

When you first visit, our cookie consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. We group cookies into three categories.

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Service to function, including signing in, keeping your session secure, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. These are always on and do not require your consent because the Service cannot work without them.
  • Analytics — help us understand how people use the Service so we can improve it, for example which pages are visited and where users encounter friction. These are only set with your consent and the data is used in aggregate.
  • Marketing — used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and to show relevant content about The Letting Desk. These are only set with your consent and may be set by trusted third parties.

3. Managing your choices

You can accept or reject analytics and marketing cookies when you first arrive, and you can change your choices at any time by selecting “Cookie settings”, available in our cookie banner and in the footer of our website. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off as they are essential to the Service.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service from working correctly.

4. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.

5. Contact us
